Patron Stories: Bill

Bill McCann is a long time client of Xavier Society for the Blind. He is also a member of our Advisory Group, advising us on the best use of technology and on potential new initiatives. Among the materials he receives from us is The Propers of the Sunday Mass, which he uses to lector at his parish, St. Isaac Jogues, in Valley Forge, PA. He is also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Recently, Bill was featured on CatholicPhilly.com and you can read about that article and other publications by clicking here. Here's a little more about him:

After attending St. Lucy Day School for the Blind, Bill graduated cum laude from Philadelphia’s University of the Arts in 1980. He holds a certificate of Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania's Center for Information Resources. Bill and his wife of over 30 years, Mary Ann, have five children and two grandsons. The founder of Dancing Dots, a company dedicated to access and literacy for blind musicians, Bill also supports the mission of Xavier Society for the Blind and its essential purpose of helping those living with blindness and visual impairment to understand, develop and practice their faith.

We were blessed to have Bill participate as a lector at our 2018 St. Lucy Mass, and he made this great video afterwards:
