Support Our Mission

Since 1900 we have been providing religious and spiritual materials to blind and visually impaired people in their required formats in order for them to be able to learn about, develop, and practice their Faith. Some of our braille books in particular can often cost well over $500, taking up to 6 months to produce. On a weekly basis, Xavier Society for the Blind ships reading materials to people all over the United States and throughout the world, free of charge thanks to the generosity of our donors

You can make a difference all year long when you make a monthly gift to XSB. For as little as $10 a month, you can help provide materials like the Mass Propers to our clients. Your gift literally puts faith at their fingertips! Please help us continue this important ministry by sending your gift today.

Donate securely through our website by clicking here. If you wish to donate, but prefer to do it over the phone you can always call our offices at (212) 473-7800 or (800) 637-9193. Our Coordinator of Communications and Fundraising, Aisling Redican, will be happy to assist you.

If you are on Facebook, you can raise funds by starting a fundraiser of Xavier Society for the Blind. Sometimes people raise money on Facebook in honor of their birthdays, anniversaries, etc. More information can be found here

Masses may be said at your request not only when someone dies but also to celebrate a special event. And the stipend for the Mass Card helps support the work of Xavier Society for the Blind. If you are a client or would like to send a Mass Card to someone who reads braille, we can also do a braille overlay on the Mass Card. Call us at (212) 473-7800 or email us at info@xaviersocietyfortheblind.org for more information.

Last, but certainly not least, we need your help to spread word of our mission! Please inform your parish, diocese, friends and family of the good work we do. We are trying to reach a wider audience of people in need in new and innovative ways, and word of mouth is always a great way to do that. With your help we will be able to provide our materials for another 121 years!
